Nancy O'Dell's initial position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston, about how the Charleston police acted in DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. After that, she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
